I don't have the tension tool, but was hoping to get an idea if my belt is roughly correct by hand. In reading past posts, Frank M wrote:
"The belt adjustment is really not so critical. A little loose is better than a little tight. If you have about 1/2" up and down with the wheels on the ground, you're close. What is really important is pulley alignment so the belt is not rubbing the sides of the pulleys and wearing out too fast."
I have TOTAL play (both up and down, or a 1/2 inch either way) when I tug at the belt from near the buddy peg. Is this about right, or too loose? Thanks!
